JORDAN LOSE TO IRAN IN ASIAN CUP

Jordan have to go through a play-off to try and reach the quarter-finals of the 2017 FIBA Asian Basketball Cup after losing to Iran in their final group game in Beirut.
After victories over India and Syria, Jordan faced their toughest test against the Group A favourites Iran and finished on the end of an 83-71 defeat.
The earlier victories were enough to secure a place in the play-offs where they will meet Iraq with the winners facing New Zealand in the quarter-finals.
