JORDAN REACHES 11 MEDALS AT SPECIAL OLYMPICS

Jordan’s brilliant showing at the Special Olympics in Los Angeles has continued with the delegation picking up 11 medals.

The team has picked up two gold, four silvers and five bronze medals from four sports.

Results:

Athletics: Mohmoud Al Qotob - gold in 200m; silver in discus.

Roller skating:  Rima Abu Zahra – gold in 300m; silver in 100m

                     Sawsan Al Mansour – silver in 300m; bronze 100m

                      Marcelle Helmy – silver in 100m

Bocce – Teams men, bronze: Ahmad Abu Salem and Hassan Musleh

            Teams women, bronze: Hadya Al Odwan and Njoud Al Zuhair

            Individual  men, bronze: Hassan Musleh

            Individual  women, bronze: Njoud Al Zuhair

Tennis: Ma'moun Dodeen and Ahmad Al Zaheka, bronze (doubles)
