SHELBAYEH REACHES DOUBLES QUARTERFINALS

Jordan's No 1 tennis player Abdullah Shelbayeh made up for losing in the quarter-finals of the Amman International Tennis Championships by reaching the last eight of the doubles.
Shelbayeh lost in straight sets to Saudi Arabia's Feisal Al Rabadi, but then teamed up with Lebanon’s Jala Sadeeq to beat Egypt’s Bilal Abu Taleb and Tunisian Zakarya bin Ibrahim 2-0 to reach the doubles quarter-finals.
Meanwhile, Jordan's Mohammad Al Yamani and Karam Hatamleh lost to Tunisia's Mohammad bin Ali and Yaseen Shweib.
In the ladies' doubles, Jana Al Khateeb and Lugain Shelbayeh lost to Qatar’s Mubarak Al Nami and French player Elia Rozanes, 2-0.
