JORDAN READY FOR OMAN TEST

Jordan’s youngsters are preparing to meet Oman in the quarter-finals of the Arab Juniors Volleyball Championships on Wednesday night.

Jordan will be keen to bounce back from Group A defeats to Qatar and Saudi Arabia against an Oman side that has also shown inconsistent form at the tournament being hosted in Amman.

Coach Fawwaz Zahran said Jordan has shown some decent form at times and believes they can reproduce the sort of performance that saw them beat Palestine in their opening match.

In the other quarter-final matches on Wednesday, Saudi Arabia will meet UAE at 1pm, while Qatar will meet Iraq at 3pm.

Bahrain and Palestine will play at 5pm before the host nation’s clash with Oman at 7pm.
