SHELBAYEH INTO QUARTER-FINALS

 Jordan No 1 Abdullah Shelbayeh has qualified to the last eight of the International Amman Tennis Championships after beating Tunisia’s Aziz Hilali, 2-0.

Shelbayeh will meet Saudi Arabia’s Feisal Al Rabadi next on Wednesday with a place in the last four up for grabs. Meanwhile, Mohammad Al Yamani is out after losing to Hong Kong’s Cheuong Yen, 2-0.

The championship has attracted over 100 players from 28 countries.
