INDIA, CHINESE TAIPEI DOMINATE JORDAN CHAMPIONSHIP

India and Chinese Taipei have dominated the 3rd Jordan International Junior and Cadet Table Tennis Championships which finished Saturday in Princess Sumaya Hall at Al Hussein Sport City.
The tournament attracted over 120 players representing India, Algeria, Iraq, UAE, Chinese Taipei, Palestine, Sweden, Iran, Egypt, Panama, Thailand, Qatar and the host nation.
But it was those two nations who clinched the glory with the final day seeing India’s Bayyas Jean win the U13 category by beating Iran’s Ayman Sumadi 3-1.
In the females, India’s Anargia Mangonath beat Chinese Taipei’s Cheung Su in the final.
In the team event, Chinese Taipei won U15 gold while India took the U18 event.
Thailand picked up the Juniors gold title.
