Jordan will meet Palestine in their opening match of the Arab Juniors Volleyball Championships taking place in Al Hussein Youth City from July 27 – August 4.
Eight teams have been divided into two groups with Group A including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Jordan, and Group B including Oman, UAE, Bahrain and Iraq.
Jordan’s opening match will start at 7pm but Qatar will meet Saudi Arabia first at 5pm before the opening ceremony. Jordan have prepared well over the past three months under the supervision of Coach Fawaz Zahran. “We focus on harmony and tactics and have played many friendly matches to apply our plan and set one for the championship,” he said.
Championship Manager Anas Qubailat believes that the tournament will show that Jordan is capable of hosting any regional championship to a high level. “All arrangements are done, and we are happy to host this event and will do whatever it takes to make it an occasion for Jordan to be proud of,” he said.
