AL ATAWNEH REACHES WORLD SEMIS

Jordan’s Sharif Al Atawaneh has qualified to the semi-final of the 3000m at the World Youth Athletics Championship taking place in Kenya.
The Asian gold medalist finished the race seventh in 8 minutes 45:59 seconds to secure a place in Sunday’s semi-final.
Meanwhile, Aliya Bushnaq has finished sixteenth in the semifinal of the 400m after she crossed the line in 57:88s to miss out from the World Youth Championship.
Meanwhile, Jordan is sending an athletics team to Tunis for the Arab Athletics Championship from July 15-19.
Majd Jum’a will be taking part in the 200m and 400, Ahmad Samour goes in the 10,000m, Ahmad Muheisn will compete in the half marathon, Khalil Hanahneh in the 100m, Abdulrahman Abu Hummus in both the 200m and the 400m and Mus’ab Al Momani will compete in shot put.
The delegation includes Muntaser Al Momani (Chef De Mission), Dr. Hashim Al Kelani (Head Coach), Mohammad Al Mattari, Issa Al Edwan and Kmala Al Momani (all Coaches).
