ARMOUSH FINISHES FIFTH IN ASIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s Tamara Armoush has finished a credible fifth in the 1500m at the Asian Athletics Championships taking place in Odisha, India.
Armoush crossed the line in 4:25.47 while India’s Ramna Shatera won the race in a time of 4:17.92.
Meanwhile, Sharif Al Atawneh finished the 1500m in 11th in a time of 3:59.09, behind the host nation's winner Agani Kumar in 3:45.85.
It was good experience for the 17-year-old who will next head to Kenya to participate in the World Youth Athletics Championships after he won Asian Youth gold back in May.
Alya Bushnaq finished eighth in the 400m final and the 16-year-old also missed out on a place in the 100m final.
She will compete tomorrow in the 200m while Abdulrahman Abu Hommus will compete in Men’s 200m.
