Olympic gold medallist Ahmad Abu Ghaush will make his long awaited return to the world stage on Monday when he fights at the World Taekwondo Championships in South Korea.
But while the 21-year-old will compete in the -68kg weight against the winner of Pakistan’s Mohammad Ikbal and Uganda’s Ogwalo Richard, Jordan’s participation in Seoul began today with Anas Al Adarbeh losing in round two of the -74kg to Serbia’s Damir Fegizik, 3-2.
Earlier he had beaten Kyrgyzstan’s Akbar Aitakanuv.
Also on Monday, Juliana Al Sadeeq will fight Luxemburg’s Isabella Faber in the -67kg. Jordan has travelled to the Far East with eight fighters who will compete through the rest of the week.
