SQUAD NAMED FOR ASIAN CUP

 Jordan Basketball coach Sam Daghlas has named the squad that will take part in the Asian Basketball Cup to be held in Beirut, Lebanon, from August 8-20.

The team includes Mahmoud Abdeen, Malik Kan’an, Musa Al Awadi, Ahmad Hamarsheh, Yazan Al Taweel, Sami Ebzegh, Ameen Abu Hawas, Yousef Abu Wazneh, Mohammad Shaher, Ali Jamal, Ahmad Obied, Jordan Dasoqi, Nader Ahmad, Dar Takar, Abdullah Al Sawalhi, Ahmad Al Dweiri and Zeid Ayyash.

The draw has put Jordan in Group A alongside Iran, Syria and India.

The group winners will qualify directly to the quarter-finals, while second and third will compete in further knock out matches prior to the last eight.
