TAEKWONDO SET FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS DRAW

Jordan’s taekwondo team has arrived in Seoul ahead of Friday’s draw for the WTF World Taekwondo Championships which get underway on Saturday.
The eight-member team is headed by Olympic gold medallist Ahmad Abu Ghaush and has completed an intensive week-long camp in the Far East ahead of arriving in the South Korean capital for the sport’s biggest event of the year.
Joining Abu Ghaush in the men’s events are Mohammad Asfour, Anas Adarbeh and Hamzeh Qattan, while the female team includes Taleen Al Humaidi, Juliana Al Sadeq, Shahed Al Turman and Wa’ed Al Turman.
The fighters are coached by Faris Al Assaf, Mohammad Abu Libdeh and Mohammad Al Bakheit.
The World Championships will welcome over 1000 players from 170 countries and marks Abu Ghaush’s return to top flight international competition since his gold medal winning exploits in Rio de Janeiro last summer.
