Jordan’s women have continued to impress as they build up towards hosting the AFC Women’s Asia Cup next year.
Eight of the continent’s top teams will compete in Asia’s top women’s football competition in the Kingdom from April 7-22, 2018, and Jordan showed they are building up nicely with an impressive win this week.
The ladies beat their Algeria counterparts 3-2 at the Petra Stadium to remain on track for a strong showing at the 19th version of the event.
The teams travel to compete alongside Jordan next year will be Japan, Australia, China, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and South Korea.
The tournament will serve as the final stage of Asian qualification for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the top five teams qualifying for the World Cup.
