HUSTI TAKE TRAX 3X3 TITLE

In another sign that 3x3 basketball is fast becoming one of Jordan’s more popular sports, 36 teams have completed the Ramadan tournament held at Trax JO sports centre.

Three categories have been keenly contested over the past four nights and it was Husti who came out as champions in the professional class, beating The A Team 20-14 in the final.

K9 finished third. The Amateur category was won by 7ogan after a 17-12 final win over Last Minute, while Mafia finished third.

In the Ladies, Von Von took title after defeating Antar and Fustuq 11-10, with Bannati in third. “This tournament has highlighted the popularity that 3x3 basketball is enjoying here in Jordan,” said Tournament Director, Zeid Al Khas.

“The level of play was very high and we welcomed a lot of younger players which is encouraging for us considering that the sport has now been included in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.”
