JORDAN READY FOR VIETNAM CHALLENGE
Jun 12, 2017
Jordan face a big 2019 Asian Cup qualifying match on Tuesday with Vietnam set to provide one of their toughest challenges of the campaign.
Having opened their Group B account with an excellent 7-0 win over Cambodia, another victory in South East Asia will see them head into the summer break as leaders.
Vietnam stuttered to a 1-1 draw with Afghanistan in their first match so Jordan will start as favourites and coach Jamal Abu Abed is confident.
“We have done our homework on Vietnam and have seen that they are a very good team who should be respected,” he said.
Jordan warmed up for the match with a 1-0 friendly defeat in Iraq followed by a 1-1 draw in Hong Kong. The match kicks off at 3pm Jordan time.
