JORDAN TO HOST ARAB BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Jordan is finalising preparations for the Arab Beach Volleyball Championship which from July 26-August 1.

The Princess Aya Al Faisal playgrounds in Al Hussein Sport City have been transformed to welcome the region’s top teams, with 19 in the men’s and 10 teams in the women’s event.

Jordan warmed up with a camp in Turkey, winning four games but losing one. The men’s A team of Ahmad Al Awamleh and Hamad Qatami beat Turkey 2-1, while the B team of Ali Thamer and Odeh Hassan beat Antalya Club 2-0. The Women’s A team of Roa'a Al Khateeb and Nancy Ayyash beat Antalya (2-0) and over Adana (2-0) while the B team of Farah Atout and Tala Areeda lost 2-0 to Antalya.
