May 24, 2017
Jordan’s Olympic gold medallist Ahmad Abu Ghaush is part of a quality Jordanian team that has been named for the WTF World Taekwondo Championships to be held in South Korea from June 22-30.
The team has flown to Egypt for a camp after receiving an invitation from the local federation, and it will provide an ideal opportunity for the eight-member team to step up their training with Morocco, Portugal, and the host country also present.
Coaches Faris Al Assaf, Mohammad Abu Libbdeh and Mohammad Al Bakheit will be overseeing the preparations of Abu Ghaush, Anas Adarbeh, Mu’tasim Abu Zeid, Mohammad Asfour, Juliana Al Sadeq, Shahed Al Turman, Wa’ed Al Turman and Taleen Al Humaidi.
Physiotherapist Lu’ai Mrayat and fitness coach Ahmad Samer have also travelled with the team.
At last week’s Islamic Solidarity Games, the team won six bronze medals.
