JORDAN FINISH WITH 15 MEDALS

Team Jordan have finished their participation at the 4th Islamic Games taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan with an impressive 15 medals.
The wushu team finished their competition empty handed despite some impressive displays with both Yazeed Hussein (65kg) and Ali Al Qaisi (70kg) missing out in the the quarter-final stage.
Ammar Al Shami (48kg) and Hamzeh Yeyhia (56kg) narrowly lost their early round matches.
Overall though Jordan can pleased with their medal haul after clinching three golds through swimmer Khader Baqlah (200m and 400m freestyle), and karate’s Bashar Al Najjar in the 67kg weight.
Paralympian Amer Al Abbadi won the only silver medal in Discus while there were 11 bronze medals won by the 4x200m freestyle swimmers, Hala Traish (karate 68kg), Obadah Al Kesbah (boxing 64kg), Mohammad Al Wadi (boxing 56kg), Hussein Ishaish (boxing +91kg), Muath Al Qatawneh (taekwondo 58kg), Juliana Al Sadeq (taekwondo 87kg), Wa’ed Al Turman (taekwondo 57kg), Shahed Al Turman (taekwondo 52kg), Anas Al Adarbeh (taekwondo 74kg) and Mohammad Asfour (taekwondo 63kg).
