WUSHU SET TO CONTINUE JORDAN MEDAL PUSH

The martial art of wushu will take up Jordan's pursuit of medals at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games on Saturday.
Jordan have picked up an incredible 15 medals to date, and all eyes turn to the wushu team for one last medals push.
Ammar Al Shami will play against Azerbaijan’s Orkhan Hatamov in the quarterfinal of the 48kg event, while his teammate Mohammad Yahya will meet Turkmenistan’s Annageldi Agamyradove in the 56kg quarterfinal.
Ali Al Qaisia awaits the winner of Iran’s Sa’eed Fazili and Ivory Coast’s Abu Qader Daow in the quarterfinals of the 70kg.
The team is led by Coach Wa’el Yahia.
Meanwhile in Friday action, the young 3x3 basketball team lost their remaining two matches to the Ivory Coast and Qatar.
“We did better than the first day," said Coach Na’eem Abu Rasaa’.
“It was great to play against these teams with their experience which will help us as we build ourselves up towards next year's Youth Olympics.”
The tennis doubles team of Musa Kuttub and Hamzeh Al Aswad lost to their Turkish opponents in the quarterfinal.
The wrestlers finished empty handed after Mohammad Kharabshed lost to Iran’s Younis Sarmasteni in the 57kg event.
