HANDBALL LAUNCH JORDAN CAMPAIGN IN BAKU

Jordan’s participation at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games will get underway on Tuesday when the handball team launches its Group B campaign against Iraq.
The Games don’t officially start until May 12, but the handball matches begin early so that their competition can be completed ahead of the closing ceremony on May 22.
Morocco and Turkey are also in Jordan’s group.
The team consists of Khaled Ibrahim, Ahmad Al Bes, Muath Taha, Ahmad Nayef, Ahmad Abdulkareem, Yazan Al Ta’ani, Mohammad Nayef, Tareq Al Manis, Khaled Ezzeldin, Mahmoud Al Hendawi, Suhaib Abu Rumman, Ahmad Al Ansari, Abdulrahman Al Aqrabawi and Hani Al sayyed.
BOXERS HEAD TO BAKU TUESDAY
Meanwhile, Jordan’s boxers will head to Baku on Tuesday ahead of their competitions after some mixed results in the Asian Championships held in Uzbekistan.
Hussein Ishaish won bronze at the Asians and will be one of the favourites in Baku for the +91kg class.
He will be joined on the plane by Bader Al Adawi (75kg), Abdullah Daraghmeh (49 kg), Ihab Matbouli (91kg), Mohammad Abu Jajeh (52kg), Ahmad Matbouli (60kg), Ziad Ishaish (69kg), Obadah Al Kesbeh (64kg) and Mohammad Al Wadi (56kg).
Head Coach Ezzeldien Aqqoun will oversee the final preparations along with coaches Omar Humaid and Ibrahim Al Gharagheer.
