JORDAN LAND ROVER WIN TOUCH TOURNAMENT

 Just a month after it was announced that Mahmoudia Motors – the sole and official dealer of Land Rover - would remain as a major partner for the sport, a team bearing their brand has won the Saracens Rugby Club touch tournament.

Held at the British Club, Jordan Land Rover won the entertaining event that saw high caliber matches played throughout the day.

It was also one of the rare events that allows mixed teams of men and women to participate.

“Touch rugby is an ideal way of promoting the sport as fun and for all to enjoy,” said Zu’bi Al Zu’bi, Secretary General of Jordan Rugby.

“There is minimal contact so it is a version that everyone can take part in with the focus on fitness and skill.

Tackles are replaced by touches so no physical contact with matches played as five-a-side players on a smaller pitch.”

The Jordan Land Rover team had started the event as one of the favourites for the title with several national team players in their ranks.
