3X3 BASKETBALL SET FOR BAKU

 Jordan's bid to promote the 3X3 version of basketball will be boosted this month with participation in the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, Azerbaijan from May 12-22.

The draw has placed Jordan in Group B alongside Indonesia, Qatar, Ivory Coast and Mali, while Group A includes Azerbaijan, Turkey, Turkistan, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

“We have been training intensively for two months," said coach Na’eem Abu Rassa’.

“The players are putting in so much effort to reach the highest level of readiness so that we can make an impression on the tournament.”

Abu Rassa’ pointed out that Baku provides an opportunity for Jordan to gauge its current 3x3 level against quality international opposition.

Jordan is sending a strong delegation to Baku by competing in 12 sports including Taekwondo, Tennis, Judo, Shooting, Swimming, Karate, Wrestling, Boxing, Wushu, Paralympic, Handball and 3X3 Basketball.
