ISHIASH TO LAUNCH JORDAN’S ASIAN CAMPAIGN

Ziad Ishiash will launch Jordan’s campaign at the Asian Boxing Championship taking place in Uzbekistan from April 30-May 7.
On Sunday, the 69kg-category fighter will meet Bhutan’s Sangay Wangdi in the first round, while Mohammad Al Wadi will compete against Afghanistan’s Mohammad Eshaq in 56kg division.
On Monday, Olympian Obadah Al Kesbeh will fight the winner of Khair Azmin (Malaysia) and Ibragimov Bekdaulet (Kazakhstan) after receiving a bye through to the quarter finals.
Ahmad Al Tu’imat will launch his campaign in the quarter-finals too against Iran’s Gholami Salar in the 91kg category.
On Tuesday, Mohammad Al Yazuri face Pakistan’s Ali Khan in the 81kg category, while Olympic star Hussein Ishiash will face the winner of Tajikistan’s Zukhurov Siyovush and China’s Mu Hai in the quarter final of the +91 kg category.
The Asian Championship has attracted over 200 boxers representing 29 Asian countries with 60 boxers having the chance to qualify through to the World Cup in Hamburg from August 25-September 3.
